Raised in Hollywood, and the grandchild of Holocaust survivors, Solvej Schou showcases a vocal strut with guitar inspired by Janis Joplin, Etta James, PJ Harvey and Patti Smith. Personal and political, her 2019 album “Quiet For Too Long” is filled with ferocious vocals, soulful lyrics and fuzz-soaked rock ‘n’ roll. LA Weekly featured the record as album of the week. She released her debut in 2014.
